Creative Staff Spotlight: Matt

February 20, 2024

We are excited to welcome our newest Lighting Department Head, Matt Greenman. Matt, a Michigan native, transitioned from aspiring firefighter/paramedic to freelance lighting designer after discovering his passion for stage lighting while working at a local church. With a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a focus on mastering his craft, Matt ascended from local gigs to joining world tours with renowned artists like Dua Lipa, Dermot Kennedy, Blink-182, Ed Sheeran, Noah Kahan, and For King and Country.

As the Lighting Designer and Head of the Department at Creative Day, Matt’s role revolves around creating visually stunning and immersive lighting experiences. Tasked with conceptualizing and executing innovative lighting concepts, he works closely with the creative team to ensure our designs align with the client's vision and brand identity.

Matt oversees all aspects of the lighting design process, from project planning and resource management to on-site execution and quality control. With a focus on technical excellence, creative ingenuity, and client satisfaction, “I strive to elevate each event with captivating lighting designs that leave a lasting impression on attendees and reinforce the company's reputation as a leader in the industry,” comments Matt.

When Matt is not at work, he is honing his skills in forging knives, hunting in the woods, experimenting with kitchen recipes, or simply enjoying downtime with his wonderful wife, Emilee, and their beloved cat, Nala. When the warmer months roll around, Matt maximizes his time in the water, wakeboarding.

Matt is most proud of and excited for his future son, who will be joining us in June 2024.

“I'm thrilled about joining Creative Day Technologies because I'll have the chance to collaborate with a team of dedicated individuals who are passionate about their work and committed to delivering top-notch events,” says Matt.

Additionally, he is excited to have the opportunity to explore and enhance skills that he hasn’t had the opportunity to utilize in the touring industry.

Creative Day is looking forward to Matt’s contribution to our continued growth. We are excited to see how Matt’s experiences and interests influence our team, clients, and the success of our projects.
